Willydilly

Maurer's desire to create a more pleasant light source within a cafe prompted him to make a hanging lamp by simply fixing a piece of cardboard around a naked bulb with a clothes pin. The humidity in the cafe was so intense that the paper curled round in a spiral. This inspired Maurer to develop Willydilly, an adjustable suspension lamp which is put together by the owner.
I have had several Willydillys in my house for the last 22 years. I love the design in all its simplicity and the soft light they give. They are more durable than one would think - if left alone (we did lose one to an eager helper who meant well, but washed it!)"-Lette Birn, Owner of Form + Function
